Post Monospace - Application for FnF (ACCEPTED FNF)
Main Character Information

Name: Monospace
Class: Mage
Armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Azjol-Nerub&cn=Monospace
Spec: 57/3/11 arcane and dualspec Fire "Fireball Spec" 20/51/0
/Played?: 45 Days 13 hours 10 minutes 20 seconds...and 13 miliseconds.
Professions: In progress of respecing professions...Going Engineering/Mining
450 First Aid?: I do not.
Briefly describe your play style, and why you chose your current spec:
My playstyle is to succeed while still having fun. I constantly keep up with new changes that will affect my class' raiding spec and I love and find it challenging and rewarding to adapt to specific encounters during raid. I will admit, I am somewhat a "meter-whore" when it comes to single target DPS encounters and while most guilds will want to stay away from these types of people, I feel that that I play this way only because I have the competitive nature of constantly striving to improve.
I chose my current Arcane spec because Arcane currently yields if not the best, then very close to the best single target DPS. Arcane spec'd Mages have the gift of managing multiple activation cooldowns which in my opinoin (excuse my bad spelling) makes it also the most fun spec to play out of the three trees that mages have available to them. I specifically spec'd into 57/3/11 as well because it also, comparing to other competitive arcane specs has the highest mana efficiency due in part to things like the 1 point in arcane barrage, which is to be used as a last resort when a specific DPS proc is not up to conserve mana, or when at a mobile stage of an encounter.

In order to help the raid be successful, would you be willing to respec?
I'd be more than willing to...always.

Experience

How old are you?: 19
When did you start playing WoW?: June 2005
What Pre-WotLK raid content have you sucessfully completed? Only ran Karazhan a few times...I was never a raider up until WoTLK.

What raid content have you successfully completed thus far in WotLK?
Due to having 6 available level 80 characters to play, my experience is mixed around a lot. But overall...

Naxx 10/25 - Full cleared
Malygos 10/25 - Full cleared
Obsidian Sanctum 10/25 Full Cleared. 10 man have done 3 drakes pre-3.2. 25 man have done 1 drake pre-3.2.
Ulduar 10/25 Full cleared with the exception of Algalon. XT and Iron Council HM's cleared on 10 man.
ToC 10/25 Full cleared
ToGC 10 3/5. 25- not attempted ever.
ICC 10/25 4/12 in both is as far as I've got.

About you
I'm currently in college for computer/web design. I like to talk a lot...as seen in this application. I act like I have a good sense of humor but most if not all my jokes are terrible.

How many hours per week do you play WoW?
Typically I'm on for 30+ hours a week.

What time of day do you generally play?
Generally I play after my last class which is around 3:00 EST on weekdays. And depending on my workload I'll log off around 2 hours after that. My weekend playing time is pretty much based on my workload as well.

What other guilds have you been in and what were your reasons for leaving?
MALEVOLENCE. I left seeking progression oriented raiding, and on good terms.

Clan Battlehammer. I joined CBH on my hunter- Umaril. I spent about 2 months raiding with them and was given the oppurtunity to participate in the server first down of 25 yogg-saron. Joining this guild was a big reason for leaving MALEVOLENCE people who I am to this day, loyal to and becoming homesick, I left CBH and joined back to casual raiding with MALEVOLENCE.

Under the Influence. This was a guild created by the guild leader of MALEVOLENCE, a good friend of mine, and myself. The point was to let the MALEVOLENCE players be as casual as they want, while Under the Influence players (many of which were a select bunch of raiders from MALEVOLENCE) could progress in raids. I raided during patch 3.2 with this guild until it broke up soon after progressing into ToGC 10 man due to the raid leader having RL issues and not being able to devote the time. I would like to think the guild was disbanded on good terms, everyone knew it was coming, and no one was affected too much by it.

Are you able to farm for repair gold, guild materials, pots, and food during non-raid hours?
Without a doubt.

Are you able to install and operate mods like Omen, and Deadly Boss Mods, as well as use TeamSpeak?
Yes. I also have a Mic.
Would you consider yourself a leader in 5-man groups - marking targets, explaining encounters, and assigning responsibilities to group members? Or do you prefer a support role, and would rather listen to instructions?
Being a raid leader for MALEVOLENCE and Under the Influence has given me experience doing said things, and I do not mind explaining encounters and assigning responsibilities at all. Although, I feel that when given these responsibilities, it comes at the small cost of reducing my own potential skill. I tend to get lost in worrying about other things...then forget to do something myself more likely if I'm raid leading than not. Basically, I'd prefer to listen to instruction in high-end content, but during farm content I would be comfortable having extra responsibilities.

Are you willing to work with the guild’s class leaders to increase your overall raid performance?
More than willing to yes, being on the other side of the fence (being a leader in a guild) has I feel, allowed me to respond to things like this better than most.

Do you currently, or are you willing to research your class role in an encounter prior to a scheduled raid?
Without question I do. This is actually a small hobby of mine.

What are your raiding goals in WoW?
To raid 25 man content successfully while having a blast with great people. I say 25 man specifically because my only experience with 25 man content was during a short, 2 month period with Clan Battlehammer.

Hardware specs

The content this guild is currently raiding requires that all members of the raid have a stable internet connection, and be able to maintain an acceptable frame rate (10-15 FPS absolute minimum during heavy combat). Please list your:

CPU speed: Intel Quad Core @ 2.66 ghz
System memory: 4.00gb
Video card model and memory: Radeon HD 4850 256 mb
Connection type and speed: Verizion Fios. Download- 20.1 mb/s Upload- 4.71 mb/s

**Extra Note**
Currently I would like to join as a FnF. However, come summer when my classes no longer make my schedual unpredictable, I would like to reapply as a raider. At this time, I will be able to devote the needed time to raid consistantly which currently, I will not be able to do. However, provided a spot is open and I am given a chance, each week on Friday and Saturday I would love to raid any content the guild is up to, as these 2 days should be pretty consistant as far as my attendence, considering I do not have classes over the weekend.
